More than a quarter-century ago, a group of education visionaries recognized that technology—used wisely—could support learning in America’s schools. Together, they founded the not-for-profit Network for Instructional TV, Inc. (NITV), promoting the effective use of instructional video.

Since then, much has changed. NITV has become a “go-to” expert on the productive use of technology in K-12 and early childhood education—not only video but the web, blogs, wikis, and more. Our web-based services offer thousands of learning resources daily to educators, parents, and students across the U.S. and internationally. To reflect the expanded mission and services, the organization changed its name to The Source for Learning.

But some things have not changed. The staff always works at the leading edge of both education and technology. The Board of Directors continues to support the organization as it moves forward. And, most importantly, the company remains mission-driven, dedicated to helping children by promoting excellence in learning.

Source for Learning’s services—many offered at no charge—are supported in several ways: through subscriptions to some of our services; by royalties from our broadband channels’ excess capacity—and, in great measure, by donations from generous individuals and organizations.
